The term “low-code” is getting a lot of play in recent months – and for good reason. In a world where cycle times are shrinking every day across all aspects of our businesses, “low-code platforms” present a way to move faster, be more efficient and serve customers more effectively. Who doesn’t want more of that?
Industry analyst firm Forrester defines low-code as “platforms that enable rapid application delivery with a minimum of hand-coding, and quick setup and deployment, for systems of engagement.” As Forrester’s definition suggests, low-code is closely associated with application development platforms. And that’s appropriate because in the new world order being driven by mobile, almost every organization has to accelerate their rate of development for new applications and services.
But low-code’s value is just as relevant in business process management (BPM), customer relationship management (CRM) and project management (PM). Here’s why:

According to Information Age, we are living at the beginning of the digital era, where the majority of the human population are now computer and network users (nearly 100% of those are under 30).
