F1 Boston

F1 Boston Logo F1 Boston is a 106,000 square foot conference and entertainment facility. With more than 8,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, a 5,200 sq. ft. function facility, billiards hall, restaurant, lounges and the only 2 European-style indoor racetracks in New England--F1 Boston caters to corporate events and private parties.

The facility implemented Intertask to improve its sales and event planning processes. The system monitors and manages the entire sales cycle, from prospecting through contract and on through completion of the event. F1's Sales Manager utilizes Intertask to assign leads to salespeople, monitor their progress, assess their follow-through, analyze their productivity and communicate information regarding clients and events. Each salesperson tracks his or her own activity, delegating tasks as appropriate and communicating with other departments as required. The system automatically generates contracts, and informs Catering when an event is scheduled, including data such as number of people and type of food requested. F1's Racetrack Manager also follows event planning activity, in order to staff according to event needs.

With Intertask, AFG can measure in real time. The company initially implemented the system to improve the productivity of its own associates. Once a test period has been completed, Intertask will be provided to AFG's clients. During the test phase, AFG has used to system to track progress against predefined, mission-critical goals. It is allowing associates working from remote locations to collaborate on client and corporate projects.

The web-based system provides a self-service mechanism for businesses seeking financing to submit information about their company. Boston Capital defined criteria for business plans which it would consider, allowing Intertask to automatically reject plans that did not fit the profile¤and send plans that meet the criteria on to the appropriate partners for review. Additionally, the system automates the process of logging in each business plan and categorizing it in a way that is meaningful to Boston Capital. This is creating a database of information that will allow the company to perform high level statistical analyses regarding the kinds of deals it has considered, the industries from which business plans have been submitted, the stage of development of firms seeking funding, the amount of funding those firms are seeking a plethora of details which can be analyzed from the available historical data.
